Temporary COVID-19 Closure

To all of our amazing Kaladi family:

Over the past week, like most of us, I have been looking at what is going on in Alaska and the world. It is apparent that this virus has arrived in Alaska and is spreading among our community. Because of this and the amount of people we see each day, I believe we would not be able to honestly keep our staff and customers safe from spreading this virus. Beginning tomorrow, March 25th, Kaladi Brothers Coffee and Black Cup will be closing our retail cafes until we can safely re-open. This is so hard and it affects so many of us.

To our Alaskan community, I would like to take a moment and thank all my staff for their great communication and support during these troubling days. Their smart and kind words make me love this company more each day. There hasn’t been a day without feeling positive support and hearing an enthusiastic “We’ll get through this” from a Kaladi person.

I would also like to thank all the customers who have supported our company. We have had to make some changes, and still are, and the response from you has been nothing but support and love for the company. Your support enables us to work with Alaska and Seattle communities; helping out to make each a better place to live. We appreciate all of you.

To our front line workers, you are our warriors in this battle. Your commitment and skills give us hope. Most of us can walk away and avoid this virus, but you’ve met it head on each day to battle. You have our love, support and respect.

Lastly, I envision a picture of all of us back together, having a meal with friends, attending an event or seeing your friend at the coffee shop before you’re off to conquer your day. That will be a great day.

We’ll get through this.
