The history of Hario as a company dates to 1921 in Tokyo, Japan. They began as a specialty glassware company, creating cutting edge heat-resistant glass for scientific use. It wasn’t until 1957 that they began to expand into the home with kitchen wares, and would grow into a home brewing coffee staple.
