While many different brewers are manufactured around the world, they are not all created equal. Luckily the Specialty Coffee Association helps certify and label brewers that meet their high quality standards. An SCA certified brewer is not mandatory, but it is recommended, and the BonaVita featured in this guide is one such brewer.

What You'll Need

Step 1

Fill brewer with between 4 and 8 cups of water

Step 2

For every cup of water you will need 10 grams of coffee, or 2 tablespoons

Step 3

Grind between 40 and 80 grams of coffee, 10 grams per cup

Step 4

Assemble filter into brew basket with ground coffee in the filter

Step 5

Begin Brewing

Step 6

Wait patiently as coffee brews

Step 7

Serve and enjoy!
