Kalita history begins in 1958 in Tokyo, Japan, as a manufacturer of high quality coffee filters. They would expand over the years, inventing and innovating with some of the most well regarded brewing equipment in use today.

What you'll need
- Kalita Wave pour over brewer
- Kalita Wave filter
- 25g (2 tbsp) of medium grind coffee
- 400g (13½ oz) of 200 degree water
- Cup or serving carafe
- Scale and timer


Place filter into brewer and carefully rinse with hot water

Place brewer with rinsed filter onto carafe and pour in coffee

Start timer, wet grounds with 50g (2 oz) hot water, let bloom for 30 sec

Pour in remaining water slowly, ensuring grounds stay submerged

Finish pouring in water by a minute and a half

Draw down should be done between three or four minutes

Dispose of filter, serve, and enjoy!
