Acevedo is located in the Eastern part of La Cordillera and well known as “Serrania de la Ceja”, because of the complicated natural small valleys, which are being created by many different rivers, whereby the river Suaza is the most important one, the municipality Acevedo is therefore oriented towards the north.
Regional profile of Acevedo consists of approximately 250 coffee growing families with farms between 1.5 and 3 hectares with coffee threes on average per family, total approximately 750 hectares.
